The Mundy Pond Shotokan Karate dojo hosted a seminar and grading with O-Sensei(teacher if teachers) Tsuruoka in June 2007. Karateka from several Newfoundland and Labrador dojos attended. O-Sensei Tsuruoka graded a large gruip of karateka and promoted them to various levels from 1st Degree Black Belt to 6th Degree Black Belt. It was an enjoyable and enlightening experience for all involved. Following the event, there was a dinner party in honour of O-Sensei Tsuruoka. Click here for photos.

Many of the Mundy Pond Shotokan Karate dojo Karateka participated in the karate tournament hosted by the St. Andrews Tsuroka Karate Dojo at the Reid Community Centre in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, Canada on February 3, 2007. This tournament had a very good showing from many karate dojos. See Gallery for photos and videos!
